Cerebrolysin is not a single peptide but a standardised mixture of low-molecular-weight peptides and amino acids extracted from porcine brain. It's licensed in 40+ countries as a neurotrophic adjunct for ischaemic stroke, traumatic brain injury and certain neurodegenerative conditions. Administered intramuscularly or intravenously, typically in 10–20 day courses.
