Fasting Glucose
Blood glucose measured after an 8-hour fast — the simplest metabolic-safety screen before any GH-axis or GLP-1 protocol.
Definition
Fasting glucose is a snapshot of baseline metabolic state. Values above 100 mg/dL signal impaired fasting glucose; above 125 mg/dL is the diabetic threshold. Because GH-axis peptides transiently reduce insulin sensitivity, a fasting glucose in the diabetic range is a contraindication for P2 and P4 until stabilised. The Peptide Readiness Panel includes it by default.
Reference Range: Above 100 mg/dL indicates impaired fasting glucose; above 125 mg/dL crosses the diabetic threshold.
