Testosterone

The primary male androgen — measured as total and free fractions. Low levels in men drive the TRT decision; in women, context is everything.

Definition

Testosterone is produced by the testes in men and in smaller amounts by the ovaries and adrenals in women. Blood measurement includes total testosterone (bound + free) and free testosterone (bioavailable fraction). Reference ranges are age and sex-specific. Peptide therapy does not replace TRT; members with diagnosed hypogonadism work with a dedicated hormone-therapy clinician, while peptides may support adjacent goals.
