Hypertension

Persistently elevated blood pressure — 130/80 mmHg and above by current US guidelines.

Definition

Hypertension is persistent elevation of systolic blood pressure above 130 mmHg or diastolic above 80 mmHg (2017 ACC/AHA guidelines). It's usually asymptomatic and a major driver of cardiovascular, renal and cognitive morbidity. Most Meto peptide protocols don't directly treat hypertension but take it seriously as a safety context: PT-141 is specifically contraindicated in uncontrolled hypertension.
