Definition
KPV is the final three amino acids of the alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone molecule. Isolated, it retains potent anti-inflammatory activity while losing the pigmentary effects of the parent molecule. Research shows mucosal-healing effects in IBD models and antimicrobial activity at the skin.

KPV appears in the RENEW recovery formulation and shows up as an adjunct in select gut-focused protocols. Dosing is subcutaneous at 500 mcg daily for a 6-week cycle, though oral and topical formulations are also used depending on the target tissue.
