Senolytics are drugs or compounds that selectively trigger apoptosis in senescent cells while sparing healthy ones. Examples include dasatinib + quercetin, fisetin, and investigational peptides like FOXO4-DRI. Preclinical data in mice is strong; human clinical evidence is early. Senolytic peptides remain largely investigational as of 2026.
